BIA
Your cellular health and vitality is measured using
a Bio-Impedance Analysis equipment (BIA). The BIA uses bio-electric
analysis to conduct an effective measurement of your body’s electro-conductive
properties and is a preventative tool that can show imbalances in
your body composition.
Measurements are used to predict parameters such as total body water,
fat mass and lean mass. It also indicates relative values of fluid
balance inside and outside cells. BIA also measures parameters that
are indicators of cell function, cell performance and integrity.
These are known as biomarkers. An abnormal distribution of tissue
and fluid in the body is associated with susceptibility, low function,
and the effects of disease and aging.
Biomarkers can be used to predict cellular condition and be compared
to the ageing process.
A "biological age" figure shows you the age you would
expect to be with your particular biomarkers - it is a good summary
of the measured biomarkers. No other test provides all of this information
so quickly and easily. The test results are influenced by a number
of health issues. BIA is a great way of monitoring your progress
on any health program.
